Wiltshire Council is urging businesses and organisations in the county to submit plans for funding that will help Wiltshire communities to continue to thrive.

The consultation on the Wiltshire Local Plan review has now ended, with more than 2,500 responses received so far.

Wiltshire Council has submitted bids to the Department for Transport (DfT) for funding to develop feasibility studies for two new stations in Wilton and Corsham, as part of the Restoring Your Railway Ideas Fund to link the two towns to the national rail network.

Wiltshire Council has given a boost to mobile traders in the county, which can now apply for street trading consent to use council land or the highway as part of a mobile round, or for short-term static use.
