A new investment programme of £1m a year will begin in the coming months to encourage people back to Wiltshire's town centres and high streets.

Wiltshire Council's Cabinet will consider a new investment and regeneration plan for high streets in all 18 Wiltshire towns and its city, Salisbury, plus three large villages, Pewsey, Tisbury and Downton.

Across the UK today an estimated 6.5 million people or 1 in every 8 are carers and this includes many thousands who live in Wiltshire.
