People needing health advice and support in the Salisbury area will now have a fast track to fitness due to a collaboration between Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Health and care.

Wiltshire Council has joined with the Wiltshire Care Partnership to respond to the publication of figures today (21 July) by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) into care home deaths related to COVID.

With step 4 getting underway, council services will have measures in place to keep people safe

Wiltshire Council will be delivering the Government's Holiday Activity and Food programme in Wiltshire this Summer. Funded by the Department of Education, the programme provides children who are eligible for benefits related free school meals with free activity and food provision during school holiday.

Wiltshire Council has confirmed that the booking system for its household recycling centres (HRCs) will end on 19 July and, from this date, people will be able to visit a site without booking in advance.

The Government has confirmed that step 4 of their roadmap will commence from 19 July

The virtual update will take place via Microsoft Teams on 15 July from 6pm

The update on COVID-19 in Wiltshire will start at 5.30pm

Community testing is available for symptom-free people who work for small businesses, private non-maintained early years settings, and childminders

Cllr Philip Whitehead, Wiltshire Council Leader said, "Following the Prime Minister's announcement about the timetable for the lifting of restrictions over the next few months, we will continue to work to support schools, businesses, residents and our staff to ensure restrictions can be lifted safely across Wiltshire.
