Wiltshire Councillor Helen Belcher has been awarded an honour in the 2023 New Year's Honours list.

Wiltshire Council has today attended an ACAS-facilitated meeting with the GMB Union, with the aim of discussing a way forward to ultimately resolve the issue of proposed changes to some employee terms and conditions.

Wiltshire Council is reminding people that all parking restrictions and car parking charges remain in place across the county from 10-17 December, when there is a planned strike by some GMB union members in the parking enforcement team.

We will shortly be sending out council tax reminder letters to some residents.

Cllr Philip Whitehead, Leader of Wiltshire Council, has made changes to the council's Cabinet and Portfolio Holders to align with the recovery structure now being put in place within Wiltshire Council following COVID-19.

Wiltshire Council is increasing its partnership working with Wiltshire Police to conduct roadside checks on people carrying waste in order to disrupt and prosecute fly-tippers. These people are breaking both stay at home government guidance and fly-tipping laws.

Part of the Ridgeway National Trail in Wiltshire will be closed to motor vehicles over the spring and summer months to enable repair works to be completed.
