A programme to plant over 600 trees throughout the Salisbury River Park project has kicked off with the first new trees planted along Coldharbour Lane, near Fisherton Recreation Ground.

A Melksham resident has been successfully prosecuted by Wiltshire Council for environmental and trading standards offences whilst operating a waste clearance service on Facebook selling sites across Wiltshire.

Preliminary works for the Salisbury River Park project are now complete. Work began in January to prepare the site ahead of the main construction work which will start in June.

An improved Elm Grove play area in Trowbridge has been reopened following refurbishment work by Wiltshire Council.

Wiltshire Council is increasing its partnership working with Wiltshire Police to conduct roadside checks on people carrying waste in order to disrupt and prosecute fly-tippers. These people are breaking both stay at home government guidance and fly-tipping laws.

Part of the Ridgeway National Trail in Wiltshire will be closed to motor vehicles over the spring and summer months to enable repair works to be completed.
