Five Wiltshire secondary schools took part in a special conference at County Hall which was held to help raise awareness of the impact of transport on climate change.

Wiltshire residents are being encouraged to recycle their previously unrecyclable pool accessories such as goggles and armbands, in an innovative way at swimming pools across the county.

Wiltshire Council has confirmed that the booking system for its household recycling centres (HRCs) will end on 19 July and, from this date, people will be able to visit a site without booking in advance.

To help inform any future works as part of the Salisbury River Park proposals, the Environment Agency is carrying out preliminary ground investigation work at the Maltings and Central Area Car Park.
