Wiltshire Council has successfully bid for more than £4.4m from the Government's Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme to reduce carbon emissions by upgrading the heating systems in many of its buildings.

The formal transfer from Wiltshire Council to Cricklade Town Council has been completed

Wiltshire Council has worked with local leisure facility partners Places Leisure, Cricklade and District Community Association and Brian Whitehead Sports Centre Association (Downton Leisure Centre, operated by Gymies Ltd) to apply for support funding from the Government's National Leisure Recovery Fund and have been allocated £865k.

Following government confirmation that Step 2 of the roadmap will proceed, all 20 leisure centres across the county will reopen from Monday 12 April
