The formal transfer from Wiltshire Council to Cricklade Town Council has been completed

Wiltshire Council has worked with local leisure facility partners Places Leisure, Cricklade and District Community Association and Brian Whitehead Sports Centre Association (Downton Leisure Centre, operated by Gymies Ltd) to apply for support funding from the Government's National Leisure Recovery Fund and have been allocated £865k.

Following government confirmation that Step 2 of the roadmap will proceed, all 20 leisure centres across the county will reopen from Monday 12 April

Wiltshire Council is encouraging people who may have time to spare or thinking of a new career in social care to join a government scheme that will support care provision across the county.

At Full Council on 23 February, Wiltshire Council Leader Cllr Philip Whitehead said a rapid scrutiny review will go ahead around issues surrounding Furlong Close where Wiltshire Council has a number of residents.

Work to transform Cricklade Leisure Centre is now complete, with the refurbished facility ready to provide high quality leisure services to residents.

Work is set to get underway on-site in March

Shared Lives Wiltshire is broadening its reach so more people can benefit from its ethos of building meaningful relationships with a carer and their family and connecting with their local community.

Wiltshire's eligible unpaid carers will be able to receive PPE following updated government guidance published on Friday (5 February).
