An e-volunteering project has resulted in a collection of historic postcards becoming the latest addition to an online heritage mapping resource

Wiltshire Council is pleased to announce that, following the efforts of its team and volunteers, Netheravon library will reopen on Monday 14 December.

Residents and visitors to the Cathedral City of Salisbury can now download a new app to discover the stories behind the people and events that shaped the city's history.

Part of the Ridgeway National Trail in Wiltshire will be closed to motor vehicles over the spring and summer months to enable repair works to be completed.

The Wiltshire and Swindon Countryside Access Forum is looking for new members to help shape the Wiltshire countryside, access to it, and outdoor recreation in the county.

Eight Wiltshire Libraries and all mobile libraries will close for one day on Wednesday 5 February to bring all staff together for essential training. To keep as many libraries open for the day as possible, four further libraries will be open for self-service, while another 10 will be operated by volunteers and open as usual.

Unfortunately, due to reasons out of our control, there are some power issues at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre which are affecting their systems. This means a number of the centre's services are currently unavailable such as the phone line, wi-fi and the People's Network.
