Wiltshire Council is introducing a new single number for its housing enquiries from the New Year. From 4th January the Housing Advice Service will have a single entry point for all enquiries. On that date all old numbers, including different numbers for different areas, will stop working and people can ring through on one number 0300 456 0106.

Wiltshire Council is advising residents of the best way to help those sleeping rough this winter as the cold and stormy weather settles in.

A Trowbridge plumber has been fined a total of £1,184 after his commercial waste from a property he worked on was illegally dumped in two separate locations on Widdington Lane, Upavon.

Waste and recycling collection dates will not change over the Christmas and New Year period, as waste collection crews will be working as normal on Bank Holidays Monday 27, Tuesday 28 December 2021, and Monday 3 January 2022.

Households that pay to receive garden waste collections will receive an email or letter this week inviting them to renew their subscription by 14 August. New customers can also sign up to receive this service.
