Wiltshire Council projected to have cut its carbon footprint by 80%

Wiltshire Council has become the first local authority to join Safer Highways as part of its new free membership programme and is also backing the organisation's industry-led Stamp It Out initiative to eradicate road worker abuse.

The eight-week public consultation starts on Friday

Residents and local businesses have until 5pm on Friday 8 January 2021 to give their views on the Salisbury River Park proposals.

Wiltshire Council entered into a funding agreement with Homes England on Friday (18 December 2020) securing £75 million of Housing Infrastructure Funding.

To help inform any future works as part of the Salisbury River Park proposals, the Environment Agency is carrying out preliminary ground investigation work at the Maltings and Central Area Car Park.

All those travelling - apart from those medically exempt - will need to wear a face covering throughout their journey

Wiltshire Council has confirmed that following the announced suspension of the scheme, much of the People Friendly Salisbury infrastructure in the city has been removed.

Project will see pedestrians and cyclists given priority as several streets in the city centre will be restricted for use by through traffic.
