The Returning Officer for Wiltshire is advising Salisbury residents to send their postal votes back for the upcoming unitary and city council elections as soon as possible, due to planned Royal Mail strike action in October and November.

To celebrate Social Work Week, Wiltshire Council will be running a series of events to bring together social workers to learn, connect, engage and debate the growing value that social work adds to society.

Twenty of Wiltshire Council's adult and children's social workers have been recognised in the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) national awards.

Wiltshire Council is urging communities in the county to have their say in the neighbourhood plan referendums that are taking place on 6 May, the same day as the local and Police and Crime Commissioner elections.
