Wiltshire Council is reminding businesses in the county that time is running out for them to apply for COVID-19 business grants and rate relief schemes

Wiltshire Council has today (Friday 4 February) opened applications for the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) to help Wiltshire businesses impacted by the Omicron wave from December 2021.

Wiltshire Council continues to support education settings in their response to the ongoing pandemic

Rate-paying businesses that have not yet received any rate relief during the pandemic may be able to claim a rate reduction this financial year, under a new Wiltshire Council scheme.

Wiltshire Council has paid out more than £11m in the recently announced Restart Grants to 1,520 businesses, and is now opening the window for new Restart Grant applications to support businesses as they reopen following the easing of lockdown. In total, the council has paid more than £156m so far to Wiltshire businesses during the pandemic.

Eligible Wiltshire students and their families are being reminded of the support available if they need to self-isolate as a household due to COVID-19.

As non-essential retail, outdoor hospitality and personal care premises are set to reopen on 12 April, Wiltshire Council has updated and reissued its guidance for businesses once lockdown is eased.

People are being urged to follow the Government's guidance and keep themselves and their loved ones safe over the Easter break
