At its meeting on Tuesday 1 June, Wiltshire Council's Cabinet will discuss the next steps for the proposed A350 Melksham bypass.

Art fans and book lovers will be able to once again enjoy the Edwin Young Gallery, reopening on Thursday 20 May, and some longer opening hours at libraries across Wiltshire from Monday 17 May.

A new pedestrian refuge island will be built on the A4 Curzon Street in Calne, slightly west of the junction of Savernake Drive. The works will start on Tuesday 1 June and will be completed by Friday 11 June 2021.

Melksham Area Board meeting on Wednesday 4 November at 7pm, will host a presentation and Q&A session for people interested in the proposals for a bypass on the A350 at Melksham.

The project will reduce through traffic in the city centre, improving air quality and prioritising pedestrians and cyclists.

Cabinet has agreed to sign the Grant Determination Agreement with Homes England, the government's housing agency, subject to conditions, to secure £75 million of Housing Infrastructure Funding.

Five more libraries will reopen in Wiltshire over the next three weeks. These libraries will be fully reopened for people to browse for up to 30 minutes, to select and loan books and book a computer for up to 45 minutes.
