May is Local and Community History Month and Wiltshire Council is celebrating local history with an array of events and exhibitions at libraries across the county.

Wiltshire's up and coming sports stars of the future were celebrated at the 2022 Sports Scholarship grant presentation ceremony held at County Hall, Trowbridge.

Latest figures show more than 280 Wiltshire households have been matched with Ukrainian refugees as people fleeing the war-torn country start arriving in the county.

They were joined by local Ukrainian singer Nicole Medin who sang two Ukrainian folk songs and joined the choirs in singing the Ukrainian national anthem.

The event was made possible due to many businesses sponsoring and supporting the dinner, and the main Gold sponsors: CGI, Landmarc and MiPermit

Wiltshire Council is offering a variety of intensive swimming lesson courses across its leisure centres this Easter holiday period, to support children in their swimming development and confidence in the water.

Hills Municipal Collections and GMB Union have confirmed they have reached an agreement, which means the waste collection strike has now concluded with immediate effect.
