The new free special school called SAIL Academy will provide 150 places for children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions

Young people can get involved in local decision-making and have a say on funding for youth projects as part of a new democratic body being set up for Wiltshire.

Wiltshire residents can now apply for primary and secondary school places for September 2022 entry, for children starting school for the first time or for children who are moving from a primary to secondary school or from an infant to junior school.

Plans to create new school build that will help create sufficient places for SEND pupils into the future will be discussed by councillors next week.

People who have a spare room and would like to provide a secure home for young people in need are being invited to find out more at an online information evening in October.

Wiltshire Council successfully delivered the Government's Holiday Activity and Food programme to over 1,800 young people during four weeks of the summer holidays. The programme, which aims to provide children eligible for benefits related free school meals with free access to high quality activities and nutritious meals, was delivered across Wiltshire using the brand FUEL and was funded by the Department for Education.
