Statement of Community Involvement
What is it?
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) provides clarity on how we will engage with our local communities and stakeholders on planning matters including both plan-making and decision taking. The SCI explains Wiltshire Council's policy for engaging the community in the preparation of Wiltshire's planning policy documents and in the consideration of planning applications. Wiltshire Council's commitment is to provide opportunities for you to have your say on planning decisions that affect you or your community directly.
Temporary Arrangements
Alongside the SCI, temporary arrangements have been put in place in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that plan-making and decision taking on planning applications can continue, and community engagement is reasonable and effective in these circumstances.
