Our ceremony rooms
We can offer seven beautiful ceremony rooms located within our main registration offices throughout the county. All of our ceremony rooms have disabled access and are decorated to a high standard.
A Saxon town which dates from approximately 600AD and is believed to be the location King Alfred may well have burnt the cakes! Another famous resident was Robert Peel founder of the Metropolitan Police in 1829.
Chippenham Register Office, Timber Street, Chippenham offers two ceremony rooms.
There is also a pretty courtyard for photographs.
Timber Street, Chippenham
Wessex Room is the largest of the two ceremony rooms located at Chippenham Register Office. With space for 50 seated guests, this room is perfect for larger ceremonies, without compromising on its intimacy
Its Georgian style with tall bright windows and beautiful chandeliers, gives it a classic feel, and makes Wessex Room the perfect ceremony room

Timber Street, Chippenham
Much like The Study at Bourne Hill, The Persimmon Room at Chippenham Registration Office is perfect for those looking for a smaller ceremony.
Seating only 6 guests, The Persimmon Room has a very intimate feeling to it. With large sash windows, The Persimmon Room is bright and light, so while one of our smaller ceremony rooms the space still feels welcoming and comfortable.

The historic City of Salisbury with its magnificent and famous cathedral is home to one of only four of the surviving Magna Carta documents and is surrounded by rolling chalk downlands. Nearby is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.
Bourne Hill, Salisbury offers three ceremony rooms, the larger two ceremony rooms (Wyndham and the Library) provide Georgian architecture and grandeur for your special day.
The historic Bourne Hill was once the residence of the Wyndham family.
A historic grand building with adjacent parkland and secret garden provides an excellent setting for photographs.
Bourne Hill, Salisbury
Located on the ground floor of Bourne Hill's Grade Grade II* listed building, this stunning ceremony room boasts Georgian architecture with columns adding grandeur.
This bright room seats up to 60 guests. This room works equally well for large or small parties.

Bourne Hill, Salisbury
The library seat up to 60 guests. Overlooking parkland and rose gardens the room has a classic feel.
It's beautiful deep red chair sashes and complimenting silk flower arrangements on the bookshelves work perfectly against the brightness of the room.
With shelved walls lined with classic books, this space is perfect for those wanting a traditional feel to their day.

Bourne Hill, Salisbury
Seating only 6 guests, The Study has a very intimate feeling to it. The room boasts beautiful views out to the surrounding green spaces of Bourne Hill, through the large sash windows.
The study allows for a modest ceremony without compromising on the feeling of grandeur. As with all of our Bourne Hill ceremony rooms, there are plenty of spaces to capture beautiful images of your day.

The first reference to the town's greatest industry - cloth - comes in 1306. The prosperity of the local cloth trade continued to grow and by 1820 Trowbridge was a factory town of some importance with 15 factories. County Hall which hosts our ceremony rooms opened in 1940 when Trowbridge became the administrative centre for Wiltshire.
Couples are always delighted with our ceremony rooms within this beautiful building. We cater for both traditional and modern tastes.
Following your ceremony, photographs can be taken on the beautiful Art Deco sweeping staircase before exiting via the majestic main doorway leading to the front portico of the building.
County Hall, Trowbridge
The Weavers Room is a modern room with three large windows which make this light and bright. Located on the ground floor of County Hall's old building the room is spacious and seats up to 40 guests.

County Hall, Trowbridge
Members Room is the larger of the two rooms available for ceremonies at County Hall.
Located on the first floor of County Hall's old building, this magnificent wood panelled room seats up to 70 guests. Decorated with golden chair sashes and beautiful flower arrangements that lift the room, Members is perfect for those searching for a classic feel to their special day.

Hearing Link
Several of our ceremony rooms provide a hearing loop system, using Hearing Link (opens new window).
Those who wear a compatible hearing aid can simply switch their hearing aid to the 'T' position.
We also have several portable hearing loop machines which can be made available if prior notification has been received.
