Public notices for approved venue ceremony licence

Our statutory duty

We are required to make the applications and plans for approved venues of civil marriage and civil partnership ceremony licences and renewals of licences, available to members of the public for inspection for a period of 21 days.

You can view the applications and plans under consultation at County Hall, Trowbridge, if you make an appointment with the registration service. To make an appointment, call 01225 713082.

Raising an objection

If you want to object to an application you should submit the reasons for your objection in writing no later than 21 days after the public notice is published. The deadline for objections appears on each notice, and your letter must be received by no later than 5pm on the deadline date.

At the end of the 21 days, the notice will be removed and the public will no longer be able to object to the application.
