Transport operators information

To apply to operate social care, school transport or local bus service contracts complete the transport operators application document which is available from the passenger transport unit on request,  and post it to:

Operators of all wheelchair accessible vehicles should ensure that all drivers have read and understood the following documents:

• Posture and Mobility Group (PMG): Transportation of people seated in wheelchairs (opens new window)

Wiltshire Council will ensure the safeguarding of all passengers for whom transport arrangements have been contracted.  All drivers who wish to drive on Wiltshire Council contracts will be subject to the driver conviction policy when being considered to drive on contracted routes.

The DBS  bus driver conviction policy is available on request from the passenger transport unit.

Concessionary bus pass reimbursement for bus operators

We operate a reimbursement scheme for operators of local bus services that allow free travel to holders of the concessionary bus passes.
