Public and school bus transport, free concessionary bus passes.
The council offers free bus passes to qualifying older or disabled people that live in Wiltshire. Follow the link below for more information:
Wiltshire Council provides free home to school transport for some children who are under the age of 16 and who attend their local designated school. We also operate a transport assistance scheme for further education students that are aged 16 - 19 at the start of their course and who are attending and living more than 3 miles from their designated sixth form or college. To report a problem with a bus service
If you wish to report a problem with a bus service in Wiltshire call 01225 718080. This number should only be used to report problems and not for general timetable enquiries. Alternatively, passengers can email us at buses@wiltshire.gov.uk
The Wiltshire day rover ticket provides one day's unlimited travel on nearly all local bus services in Wiltshire.
Tickets can be purchased on the first bus you use in Wiltshire at the following rates:

Note that the Stagecoach, Salisbury Reds, Thamesdown Transport and First bus companies also offer other unlimited travel tickets for travel only on the bus service which they operate.

Most buses in Salisbury buses are fitted with real time equipment that provide information to bus stops in the form of:
- Order of arrival
- The service number
- The bus destination
- The number of minutes until the bus is due (the countdown normally begins 20 minutes before the bus is due)

Damage to shelters
To report any damage to bus shelters such as broken glass, contact our highways department, who will pass the information on to the owner of the shelter.

If you would like to request a new bus shelter raise this as an issue with your area board.
