Wiltshire Tobacco Alliance is a partnership working together to create a Smokefree Wiltshire. The main aim of the Alliance is to end the harm caused by tobacco and achieve a smoking rate of 5% or less by 2029.
In Wiltshire, 10.6% (approximately 44,000) of people smoke. That's why partners including Wiltshire Council, NHS trusts and other specialists in health, social care and the community, have joined forces to tackle the issues and address the significant health inequalities in our county.
Our vision
We are committed to reducing the devastating impact of tobacco across Wiltshire's communities. The Wiltshire Tobacco Alliance strategy outlines our shared vision of a Smokefree Wiltshire and the practical steps to achieve it by 2029.
Our Wiltshire Vision: All residents have the choice to live a smokefree life, free from the burden of addiction, where everyone is protected from the harmful effects of tobacco.

What we're doing to address it
In order to reduce the devastating impact of tobacco addiction across Wiltshire communities, we're working together to support people to quit smoking.
We meet every two months to discuss how we can reduce smoking in Wiltshire to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents. You can also take action by signing up to our monthly newsletter that keeps you up to date with new resources, campaigns and developments.
This is a collaborative process and by delivering on our strategy we can eliminate the harms of tobacco and create a Smokefree Wiltshire by 2029.

Illegal tobacco and vapes
Children and young people are often targeted by organisations who sell illegal tobacco and vapes, making it easier for them to get hooked on a lethal addiction.
Illegal tobacco and vapes impact our communities, as criminal gangs who supply them often have links to organised crime.
To keep illegal tobacco and vapes out of Wiltshire, report it:
