Housing private finance initiative

Leading the way

Wiltshire Council is leading the way in the region with an innovative private finance initiative (PFI) scheme to provide 242 new homes for affordable rent. Building work is currently underway.

Working with a consortium led by Devizes-based Aster Communities, this will enable many of the households who are currently unable to access suitable accommodation to have a decent place to live.

The project is supported by £41 million of additional funding from the Government's Homes and Communities Agency. Providing more affordable housing is a major issue for local people and a high priority for the council.

The Data Room (opens new window) is a password controlled library of technical information for authorised project team members and advisers acting for Aster and the council. This contains contract documents, drawings, specifications and surveys.
