Centre opening times

Note that last admittance every day is 30 minutes before the centre closes. Customers will not be able to access the facility after this point.

Save the date - Friday 22 February, 1pm - 4pm! We will have various activities available on the day and local groups providing demonstrations, as well as free swimming for all between 1pm - 3pm. 

A full timetable of activities can be found below with a group exercise class programme, a variety of activities in the sports hall and representatives from local groups providing advice and information on a range of services. 

A programme of activities has been developed for the day providing free taster sessions for anyone to come and take part in. Please note that group exercise classes will require booking in order to secure your spot, and place will be limited according to space. 

Free swimming 

Free swimming will be available for everyone between 1pm and 3pm - subject to capacity. 

Sports hall 

A bouncy castle and soft play for under 5's will be available throughout the afternoon in the sports hall as well as a range of taster session activities detailed below. Come along and have a go!

1pm - 2pm Walking Netball Aimed at over 50's providing a slower paced version of the traditional game
2pm - 3pm Pewsey 50+ badminton  Join the local club to play badminton in a fun and social session 
2pm - 3pm Kick a bout football Providing football for little ones
3pm - 4pm Tae Kwon Do Inclusive taster session aimed at family groups from age 7 upwards with the option of joining the regular weekly group afterwards with two free 'no obligation' sessions available to new joiners. 
3pm - 4pm Pewsey Vale Youth Football Club  Taster session with skill activities and games for children aged 11 and below

Booking is required for each class, which can be done at The Vale Community Campus, and is available now. All classes are free and are designed to be short, bite-size samples of the classes that are provided on a regular basis, so there is no need to have attended before - simply choose a couple you'd like to have a go at and sign up to take part.  

Fitness suite 

Join us in the gym as a non-member to have a taster session in our new fitness suite. Please note that this availability will be limited to a few pieces of equipment - to use the full range of equipment you will need a full induction. 

We'll also have a fun, family friendly rowing game available to take part in on the day! 


A range of activities will be offered including access to Wiltshire Council's health trainer service as well as performances from the Pewsey Belles choir. Staff from Wiltshire Council's leisure development service will be there alongside the Wiltshire family community learning team who will have a family quiz running and information and advice for families.

The official opening ceremony will take place at 2pm and there will be refreshments provided for the general public at this time.

Meeting room

From 2.15pm - 2.45pm there will be a family rhyme time activity for under 5's led by the library service in the meeting room on the first floor. Pewsey Craft Studio will also be providing a range of arts and crafts activities for children in the meeting room. Both of these activities will be free of charge to attend and you can just drop in and join in!
