Sports scholarship grant

12 young Wiltshire athletes aged between 8 and 18 years old were awarded a Sports Scholarship grant of £500 at an event at County Hall on the 24 January hosted by Baroness Scott of Bybrook.

The funding is available thanks to the success of the Wiltshire Business and Sports Gala Dinner.

It can be used to access training ad competitive opportunities, purchase equipment and cover transport costs for attending regionals or national events. The special guests at the event were 2016 Paralympic gold medallist Aaron Moores MBE and elite high jumper Tom Gale who provided and insight in to what it takes to get to the top of their sport and answered questions from the audience.
