99% of Wiltshire families have been offered one of their three primary school preferences for this September with 95% offered their first preference.

99% of Wiltshire families have been offered one of their three primary school preferences for this September with 95% offered their first preference. 

The majority of parents now apply for places online with 94.5% of the 4,938 applications received doing so. Parents who applied online by the deadline date will be able to view the outcome of their application on Friday 16 April, from 8am, by visiting our website. Parents will need their user ID and password to access their decisions. 

Parents who have submitted a paper application will receive a letter confirming the outcome of their application which will be posted out to them on 16 April 2021.

Lucy Townsend, Corporate Director for People at Wiltshire Council, said: "We know that families across the county will be eagerly awaiting today's news, as their child prepares to start school. I'm pleased to be sharing such high figures once again, with 95% offered their first preference, showing that Wiltshire is delivering quality school places locally where they are needed." 

The right to an independent appeal is open to anyone who has not received an offer at one of their preferred schools. Parents who wish to appeal for a place at a voluntary controlled or community school should visit Apply for a school place for details of how to appeal.

Parents who wish to appeal for a place at a voluntary aided, foundation school or an academy should contact the school directly to lodge an appeal.
