Wiltshire Council has provided an update on its plans to develop a new leisure centre in Trowbridge following recent confirmation of its preferred location in the county town.

Wiltshire Council has worked with local leisure facility partners Places Leisure, Cricklade and District Community Association and Brian Whitehead Sports Centre Association (Downton Leisure Centre, operated by Gymies Ltd) to apply for support funding from the Government's National Leisure Recovery Fund and have been allocated £865k.

Following government confirmation that Step 2 of the roadmap will proceed, all 20 leisure centres across the county will reopen from Monday 12 April
