To coincide with the FIFA Women's World Cup tournament, Wiltshire Council is teaming up with local authorities from across England with the aim of achieving one goal - to recruit a new generation of foster carers.

Wiltshire Council has been awarded a grant from the Chewing Gum Task Force, administered by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, to clean up gum and reduce gum littering.

Wiltshire libraries are encouraging families with children aged 4 to 11 to join in the popular and free Summer Reading Challenge from Saturday 15 July, which aims to inspire children to read as much as they can.
