Rough sleeping can be isolating, it can be frightening living moment to moment in a state of flight, fright and freeze.

The Prevention and Wellbeing team set up by Wiltshire Council in 2021 is celebrating its second anniversary. The team covers the whole of Wiltshire and are focused on promoting physical, mental and emotional health.

Carer Support Wiltshire is running a series of virtual events and activities for this year's Carers Week. Running from 8-14 June, Carers Week shines a light on the thousands of unpaid carers there are in the UK. Across the UK today an estimated 6.5 million people or 1 in every 8 are carers and this includes many thousands who live in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Council is increasing its partnership working with Wiltshire Police to conduct roadside checks on people carrying waste in order to disrupt and prosecute fly-tippers. These people are breaking both stay at home government guidance and fly-tipping laws.

Part of the Ridgeway National Trail in Wiltshire will be closed to motor vehicles over the spring and summer months to enable repair works to be completed.
