Several services and assets in Bradford on Avon have today (Friday 1 April) been passed from Wiltshire Council to Bradford on Avon Town Council to enable the local community to have more say in how their services are run.

Wiltshire Council is closing Trowbridge Library for a day on Thursday 19 August as the library space and the exhibition area will be turned into four polling stations for the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election.

Wiltshire Council will continue the process to seek a care provider for Furlong Close following the news Hft has withdrawn its earlier decision to close the site.

Residents at Furlong Close will continue to access care and support as usual while the future provision at the site is determined.

The count for the Wiltshire and Swindon Police and Crime Commissioner elections has been completed today (Monday 10 May).
