Housing Related Support: Resident Engagement

Housing Related Support

On 29 June 2021, the council's cabinet noted the council's preferred position that the Housing Related Support (HRS) service be ended on 31 March 2022. The main reason for this is that the needs the HRS service was originally designed to meet now significantly overlap with the tenant support services offered by landlords and other forms of support available in the community.

Between now and March 2022 we will be working with residents, the council's adult social care teams and other key stakeholders to ensure that residents' needs will continue to be met once the service ends.

We will be contacting all affected residents. In the meantime, if you believe you are affected by these proposals, please contact email adultscommissioning@wiltshire.gov.uk (opens new window) with 'Housing Related Support' in the message heading, or telephone 0300 456 0100 and ask for 'Adults Commissioning: Housing Related Support'.

We will publish more information here as the work develops.

You can find a copy of the recommendations on the Agenda Cabinet - Tuesday 29 June 2021 10.00 am (opens new window) page. To access the paper, click on the PDF icon for 'agenda reports pack', then scroll down to 'Housing Related Support'

Community Resource

As we've mentioned in our letters and the survey you've been sent, the Housing Related Support service overlaps with other forms of support available in the community. The following links will help show you the community support that is available in your local area.

If you would like to access a community group in your local area but need some support to do this, please contact your local Strategic Engagement and Partnerships Manager, who will be happy to help you. You can find your local Strategic Engagement and Partnerships Manager's (SEPM) details on the Area Boards page.
