New single number for housing queries will help make contact easier in the new year
Wiltshire Council is introducing a new single number for its housing enquiries from the New Year. From 4th January the Housing Advice Service will have a single entry point for all enquiries. On that date all old numbers, including different numbers for different areas, will stop working and people can ring through on one number 0300 456 0106.
The service provides tailored advice to those with housing issues or who are at risk of homelessness. The service deals with those facing eviction or possession action, affordability issues with paying rent or mortgages, or concerns over the suitability of existing accommodation, among other housing problems. People can also contact the team by email homeless@wiltshire.gov.ukĀ (opens new window).
Our Homes4Wiltshire team remain on 0300 456 0104 for all enquiries relating to joining the housing register.
Cllr Phil Alford, Cabinet Member for Housing said: "From 4 January we will have one number for people to call for housing enquiries. This makes it simpler, cheaper and more straightforward for those making a call. People can call that general number and they will then be put through to a person who can help with their enquiry."
You can see more information on housing enquiries on the Contact Housing Solutions page.
