To coincide with the FIFA Women's World Cup tournament, Wiltshire Council is teaming up with local authorities from across England with the aim of achieving one goal - to recruit a new generation of foster carers.

Wiltshire Council is starting its annual process of ensuring the county's electoral register is up to date.

A total of 89 candidates from 21 schools and the local community are putting themselves forward

People that want to know more about fostering with Wiltshire Council are being invited to an online information session this month.

More than 50 foster carers have already been recruited and more are needed - particularly to foster teenagers.

Wiltshire Council is urging communities in the county to have their say in the neighbourhood plan referendums that are taking place on 6 May, the same day as the local and Police and Crime Commissioner elections.
