A new approach to commissioning the service which provides support and guidance for unpaid carers in Wiltshire has been approved by council leaders.

People providing a caring role for family and friends are being asked for feedback to help shape services for unpaid carers in the future.

The council now will work together with care providers to create a new alliance called Wiltshire Living Well At Home

The 12 week government-backed programme is launching locally, and will help business leaders to take their business to the next level

Young people can get involved in local decision making and have a say on funding for youth projects as part of a new democratic body being set up for Wiltshire.

Twenty of Wiltshire Council's adult and children's social workers have been recognised in the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) national awards.

Wiltshire Council is urging communities in the county to have their say in the neighbourhood plan referendums that are taking place on 6 May, the same day as the local and Police and Crime Commissioner elections.
