Wiltshire Council has awarded £197,000 to help businesses around the county move into vacant shop units and improve high streets, as part of its Vibrant Wiltshire grants programme

Following the Government's announcement that all Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) functions should be transferred back to local authorities, the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP), Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council have reached agreement in principle that Wiltshire Council will be taking on the services currently offered by SWLEP from 1 April

Wiltshire Council Businesses and organisations from around the county raised £100,000 last night (Thursday 21 March) to help local sports stars at the tenth Wiltshire Council Wiltshire Business and Sports Gala Dinner.

Wiltshire Council is working in partnership with town councils around the county to develop projects that will attract more visitors to town centres. The projects look to create wider town centre visions that will bring a range of improvements, improving vibrancy and enhancing the local economy

Wiltshire Council currently has 24 foster families in the Trowbridge area, however latest figures show a further 25 foster families are needed

Residents have received an update on the campus

The bids are part of the Government's Levelling Up Fund, which aims to invest in infrastructure projects that improve everyday life across the UK.

There are now less than two weeks to take part in the Wiltshire Local Plan review consultation, and for people to have their say on where future developments may be built in the county in the next 15 years.

An additional online public webinar is being held this Saturday, 20 February 2021 at 11am, to provide a further opportunity for residents and businesses to find out more about the consultation on the Future Chippenham distributor road route options.
