More than 1,220 young people took part in Wiltshire Council's FUEL programme over the summer holidays

Wiltshire Council is asking parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND) to help shape how services are provided in the future

The disruption is due to the portal being upgraded

Wiltshire Council successfully delivered the Government's Holiday Activity and Food programme to over 1,800 young people during four weeks of the summer holidays. The programme, which aims to provide children eligible for benefits related free school meals with free access to high quality activities and nutritious meals, was delivered across Wiltshire using the brand FUEL and was funded by the Department for Education.

From October the position will be taken up by Cllr Ashley O'Neill

Wiltshire Council is launching a year-long campaign involving schools, libraries and communities to encourage people of all ages to delve into reading. The Wiltshire Year of Reading starts today (27 September 2021) encouraging everyone from very young children to older adults to enjoy the written word.

The 10-year plan is working to four main priorities and doing so under the banner of improving lives through stronger communities
