While Wiltshire Council's Local Plan consultation is open for another month, more than 1,200 people have attend in-person events around the county, with a further 800 watching the webinar online.

Wiltshire Council is hosting the last of its Local Plan drop-in sessions next week before the consultation ends at 5pm on Wednesday 22 November.

A new approach to commissioning the service which provides support and guidance for unpaid carers in Wiltshire has been approved by council leaders.

Wiltshire Council's Local Plan consultation events continue next week with in-person drop-in sessions being held at Marlborough Library, Malmesbury Library, Springfield Community Campus in Corsham, Royal Wootton Bassett Library and Trowbridge Library. All of these events take place from 3pm to 7pm. There is also an online information session on Tuesday 10 October, from 6.30pm to 8pm.

People providing a caring role for family and friends are being asked for feedback to help shape services for unpaid carers in the future.

Wiltshire Council is introducing a new single number for its housing enquiries from the New Year. From 4th January the Housing Advice Service will have a single entry point for all enquiries. On that date all old numbers, including different numbers for different areas, will stop working and people can ring through on one number 0300 456 0106.

Wiltshire Council is putting out a call for people considering a career in care to join them in a new service which helps people gain independence after a hospital stay.
